This started to happen to me today. Every time I use the m key on all of the different worlds, MUSHclient renders it as the letter n. I have been using the client for a long while now and have never had this happen to me before. All of the other keys are being inputted correctly and I used the key input option to test if it is rendering the key correctly and it says it is. But when I open up a world, it always renders m as n. If I type mom it appears as non and it reads it as such.

My username for some of the worlds has m in the name and I cannot log in because of it unless I use the auto connect feature. Any help would be nice.

Well...what kind of OS do you have? What is your default system language set to? And can you type the letter m in other programs?

I am using XP home edition and yes as you have noticed, m is appearing perfectly normal when I type it on here and everywhere else I have tested. My default system language is English.

Please provide a summary of your world configuration:

  • Either use the scripting Immediate window (Ctrl+I) to execute: Debug ("summary")

    or

  • Install the Summary plugin (see "Summary" feature) and type "summary"

Then copy the resulting information from the output window, and paste into a Forum message.

You need version 4.55 onwards of MUSHclient to do this.

Sadly, "summary" has two Ms in it, but I'm sure you can make it work. :)

Everything seems to be back to normal now. What a strange situation that was.
