| Hi! When it is only ascii, there is no problem, but when i open an .ans file with the notepad, i select one line (75 char.) and copy to clipboard, then i go to mudclient to paste on a redit desc line, then the problem is: for 1 char, in ansi, there is 4 char for color information and then, every line is limited actually for 17 char (more or less) on ansi chars with colors.
Sorry of my bad English :P . I hope you understand my explanation :) See you! | | Top |

| | Sounds like your best bet is going to be to put the ansi directly into the area file itself offline then hotboot the changes into the mud rather than trying to use redit to do it online. |

| MUSHclient can display UTF-8 (this is an option in output configuration).
I think it will also allow input in Unicode with the appropriate input locale set in Windows Control Panel, but am a little unsure about that. The reason for the uncertainty is that the command window is a Windows Edit Control, but the output window is a custom-written display.
I can't speak for any other clients, you could try asking on their forums. |

| Hi! I think that finally, i'll choose the standard characters to make ansi art. I see that there are a lot of problems to the players to see all the ansis well.
Thanks a lot!! :) | | Top |
