i know that ROM saves characters every 15 minutes (at least I think it does). I was wondering, does Smaug do auto-saving? I mean, if not, all someone has to do is give all their EQ to someone, not save, log off and come back on and double all their EQ.

Yes I think it does, but it doesn't brag about it. I think they are well and truly awake to that sort of gimmick.

Just do a test, doing what you describe, it should come up with the equipment still given away.
