I am going to have to edit the server but I'm not used to compilers. I'd like to know what the easiest way for a newbie to compile the server without breaking anything would be.

I'm making a visual client in Macromedia Director for a SMAUG server. Director isn't real programming, it's multimedia authoring. I know it well, but I am absolutely clueless outside of it. =)

Detailed information about doing compiles, getting a compiler, making changes, and other useful topics are in the web page How to make changes, including compiling
