Is there a way to make a trigger/alias/whatnot so that when you add a name to some kind of database, it'll recognize the name when it appears after a certain command, and hilight it?

Such as when I type: who
I would want it to hilight a certain name, but I need to be able to enter multiple names, and I need them to STAY in this file/database.

Except you'll change the Regexp slightly, but the idea is the same.
