| I notice that today we have reached another milestone on this forum - 900,000 views. A "view" means that someone has looked at one of the threads (subjects) on the forum (not just the index pages).
Here are the stats right now ...
- Registered users: 1,857
- Subjects (threads): 3,878
- Users with no posts: 450
- Users with between 1 and 9 posts: 1,167
- Users with 10 or more posts: 240
- Users with 100 or more posts: 21
The last time I recorded these stats (28 January 2004) there were 800,604 views, so in the last 64 days the forum has received about another 99,727 views, so that is 99,727 views / 64 days = 1,558 views per day on average.
The last time I recorded that we had an average of 1,358 views per day, so the rate of viewing has increased by 14%. In mid-2002 the number of views per day was roughly 700, so the rate of viewing has approximately doubled in the last two years.
There are another 118 registered users on the forum, which represents about 1.84 (roughly 2) new users per day, on average (slightly more than before).
It is also interesting that of the registered users there are quite a few (240) "frequent" posters (10 or more posts each), and 21 "power posters" who have posted 100 or more messages.
Since the last message along these lines, the forum has been amended to show the "power posters" on the main forum page.
