Ok, I just found out that I can't post everything. so here is a snippet of the errors from the makefile.

olc_act.o: In function `medit_damdice':
/usr/local/actofwar/src/olc_act.c:4777: undefined reference to `__ctype_b'
olc_act.o: In function `medit_damdice':
/usr/include/stdlib.h:303: undefined reference to `__strtol_internal'
note.o: In function `load_thread':
/usr/local/actofwar/src/note.c:227: undefined reference to `_IO_getc'
/usr/local/actofwar/src/note.c:234: undefined reference to `__ctype_b'
db.o: In function `fread_string':
/usr/local/actofwar/src/db.c:2965: undefined reference to `_IO_getc'
/usr/local/actofwar/src/db.c:2967: undefined reference to `__ctype_b'
/usr/local/actofwar/src/db.c:2980: undefined reference to `_IO_getc'

Are you using Cygwin? What is the first error message? Maybe there is an include file missing. These errors sound serious, sounds like you don't have the proper system include files or something like that.
