| ok here's my problem. On the swr mud the pfiles are supposed to delete after a players death. My pfiles will not delete... i think the problem is in the raw_kill part of fight.c but am unsure if any one else has had this problem please let me know. I saw one post about it and it was of no help. | top |

| 1) As a rule, pfiles dont delete after a char dies. What exactly is the point of a MU* if you only have one life?
2) The raw kill function in fight.c only applies to the immortal slay command and the various spells and mob programs that use the rawkill function. |

| Sorry Meerclar, but thats wrong. He is using SWR, and the raw_kill function not only pertains to the immortal slay command but also just dying in general. I would have to look through the source to see if I could be any help Jason. |

| In the /swr directory, (where you can see src, player, area, etc.) make a directory named backup and place a folder for each letter of the alphabet, just like the player folder. When a player is permenantly dead, a file is placed in their respective folder containing a backup pfile incase they need to be restored, though the file does not include items or equipment the player had. | top |
