| Ok, real n00b question here:
How do you install snippets into SMAUG? I've read through some of the installation instructions on some of them, and some of the files they talk about I don't see.
Also, will I need any other programs to install them?
I have about as much knowledge of coding as I do brain surgery, which I relieze will be a problem, so any other helpful info you can give me would be appreciated
BTW, I'm running the MUD off my own comp, and it is more for something to play with then to actually play. I d/led it (precompiled, with an installation program. Forgot where I got it) to do some work on so I could figure out how to do some things on it I wanted to for a MUD I work on | | Top |

| Just follow the directions, all the files should be there? What files is it asking about? Make sure you have all the source files.
Well you'll need to compile to make changes, so you'll probably need Cygwin to do that. Check of the guides and posts on how to use/get it. |

| All snippets aren't for smaug, so you'll need to find smaug 1.4a snippets.. merc and diku are previous "versions" but won't go in without some work. As long as you make sure you are reading the directions right and the snippet is for smaug 1.4a, all of the files will be there... you need to check in your src/ folder for most of the files.
This site has a good amount of snippets with easy to use installation directions:

Darkness comes along thy path, searching, wanting, calling wrath,
shadows awaken, release the light, one and only.. here to fight,
challenge the darkness, the shadows they call, hunting the living,
more and all. Roaring thunder, full of hate, a single bound, seals
your fate.
