Using smaugFUSS 1.6
While testing installarea, aset, foldarea etc I realized that building becomes more difficult after an area is installed and stops being a prototype. Ie. it's no longer possible to "goto" a nonexisting room to create it, redit it, etc.
1) Is it possible to return an area to prototype status after it has been installed and folded? I'd like to be able to protect my prototype area from a crash. (My other builder lost his prototype for that reason)
2) Is there a comprehensive guide for building with FUSS? I noticed that a lot of the docs and helpfiles refer to smaug 1.4- it says to assign vnums, use rassign oassign, etc, which produces "huh?"; the actual command is vassign, which I found by testing random wizhelp commands.

If you want to go to a non-existing room when it's not prototype, assign the area to yourself and then goto the vnum.

A building guide for FUSS? There are very little differences to FUSS building besides vassign and the reset fix.

Zeno, that was it! I guess I was confused about the difference between aassign and bestowarea. After reading the helpfiles I'm a little more confident about it, though. Thanks for your help!

Also, if you really want to return an area to prototype status, you can use the aset command to prototype an area (aset <area.are> flags prototype) and you can unfoldarea the area, but that's a very dangerous command so use with a great deal of caution.
