It would be fantastic if MUSHClient offered an option of frames so specific kinds of text can be directed into certain frames and away from other ones.

Certainly makes game play much nicer.

Notepad windows.

And, soon (well, soon as in... its being developed currently), we'll have other options, since Nick is (last we heard) developing some more friendly notepad window type things.

Yeah, what happened to that? We haven't heard from that front in a long time.

By the way, just out of curiosity, Nick, are you using a CVS to develop MC?

Yes, a while ago I started using CVS to keep track of my changes. Works very well.

Ah yes, especially branches. I was going to tell you to use it if you weren't, mainly because a release with that LoadPlugin bugfix would be nice :P Have you been developing the windows system on a separate branch? Maybe you could release the main bugfixed branch as 3.50.1 or something?

I haven't used branches and am not quite sure how to. Anyway, it is too late now as I did the new frame code without a branch.

However it shouldn't be too hard to leave that in a relatively stable state if another release is necessary.

Actually making branches is really easy, and as (I think) the bugfix for that particular bug was small, you could just commit your version, retrieve the older one, fix and release that, and go back to working on your current update. What would we do without CVS... Perhaps it wouldn't even be necessary to change version numbers, since if anyone had a problem with it, I guess they read this already. It could be "officially" fixed in the next release.
