'errors and whatnot' eh?

Please post the lines you changed and the exact error message. It is almost impossible to debug when someone says "I changed something and I got errors".

ostat helm: Wear flags : take ears
wear helm: You don the Ice Helm upon your head.
<worn around neck>...(Glowing) the Ice Helm

ostat breastplate: Wear flags : take eyes
You fit the Ice Breastplate on your body.
<worn around neck>...(Glowing) the Ice Breastplate

i cant figure out whats doing that...ive changed everything in build.c, mud.h, act_info.c, and act_obj.c
