'make' is not recognized internal or external

Hi guys

I have instaled Cygwin and im trying to add perl to it using 'openssl-0.9.8-beta3'now when i have config the file using this command:
/
$ tar zxvf openssl-x.x.x.tar.gz
$ cd openssl-x.x.x

To build the Cygwin version of OpenSSL:

$ ./config
[...]
$ make
[...]
/
I know make is not recognized error message after ./config command:
'Make' is not recognized as an internal or external operable program or batch file

need help guys do anyone know what am I missing please or if you can refer me to another forum where i can seek help thanx

You probably didn't install the required packages for make.

so for me to install the right package do i have to re-install cygwin again..! and how do i know whats the right 'make' package

So let me be clear all i need is a make package and where do i get that from plz?

im using WinXp Pro

I'm not positive since I don't use Cygwin, but when you download Cygwin, it asks what packages you want to install. Find and install make.

Hi All specially Zeno((((((((

Thanx boss for your passion about solving problems I have followed your advice and you were right I did not do it right from the start…!!

One more problem to solve, I have discovered that when I used cygwin using the “basic_pass_list.txt” basically what it does it reads login [USER:Password] from the file and checks it with [log.file] of the computer you are tying to access.

Now the problem I know ‘User:Password’ is ‘Administrator:123’ is the correct login but how do I know when I run the test using cygwin its confusing it attempts several logins but what I don’t understand why doesn’t just display the correct one rather doing it all and how would I know which one is the right one if I was guessing someone’s password???
