I find the password rules unnecessarily complicated. Please simplify it to something like: atleast 8 chars, 1 number and 1 uppercase.

When you join the forum you are emailed a password, so you shouldn't need to worry about what the rules are.

So you would be happy with "Password1" or "Aaaaaaa1"?

The rules are supposed to protect you from using really simple passwords like that. Also as a good rule, you should not be attempting to re-use passwords that you use elsewhere. If one site is compromised, and you use the same password everywhere, then all your accounts are compromised.

See Ever re-use your passwords? You're a hacker's dream.

The fact is that this forum is joined by very few genuine people these days. There are however a lot of "spam" accounts, which are being auto-deleted. I don't intend to make it easier for people to hack into the forum.
