| Hi All,
I seem to have some problem when i try to run the MushClient. I get an error message as follows :
Unexpected file format.
Line 399: Value for attribute named 'name' not terminated (no closing quote) (problem in this file)
Could someone kindly assist me please?

| Well, it sounds like whatever file is corrupted, although I haven't ever seen MUSHclient corrupt files on its own.
What are you doing to get this message?
What is the file, can you share it with us? | top |

| And what version are you using? It shouldn't do that on a new download. Is this happening on an existing world file, a new file, installing a plugin, or what? |

| How do i check what file is corrupted? I get those error msges once i open the MUSHclient.
have tried reinstalling many times but keep getting that error.
I downloaded the client from aardwolf - http://www.aardwolf.com/play/downloadmc.htm

| Are you installing into the default (or normal) location of:
C:\Program Files\MUSHclient
I found some error messages when I tried to install elsewhere, but none if I accepted that as the default.
I suspect some of the things in their installation are using hard-coded references to that install location.
Try installing into C:\Program Files\MUSHclient and see if that helps.
I'll send a report off to Aardwolf. You could try contacting them in-game. |
