re-map the up arrow

Hi!

I have a simple question, and I'm hoping that it doesn't require too complicated an answer.

Here's an explanation of what I'd like to do, with a small bit of background:

I really disliked the history scroll on the up-arrow. I'm used to a different functionality for that key on a lot of web browsers, and my Mac MU* client, where it just moves back up my paragraph. I disabled the scroll history feature, and I was happy with that.

Here's an additional little tweak that I'd like to make. I'm not sure if it's possible. What I'd like to do is say "when I press UP, if my cursor is already on the top line, go HOME", as in, an UP-arrow keystroke while the cursor is on the top line, performs the same function as the home button.

Conversely, I'd like to do the same with the DOWN arrow and the END functionality, for when my cursor is on the bottom line.

Does any of this sound possible? Is it possible with a script? User Macro? I know nothing about these things. So if it's possible, and someone knows how, an explanation would be AWESOME.

I don't think you can do that right now. However I point out that Alt+Home takes you to the start of your current command window, and Alt+End to the end of it.
