Timer dialog shortcut combination

The ctrl+shift+0 keyboard shortcut for the Timer dialog (which is shown at the Game -> Configure dropdown menu) doesn't work, but the others do. I have no macros or accelerators that would interfere with its normal operation, and I'm using MUSHclient 4.40.

The macro works fine for me.

Are you using the keypad (numpad) 0, maybe? That one will not work, regardless of NumLock status. It's a different keyboard code.

It works for me too. Apart from the obvious problem mentioned by Larkin, that you need to use the "0" which is above the "O" and "P" keys (on my keyboard at least), maybe some other program has grabbed that combination?

Weird. No, I'm using the number row above the qwerty row. I don't have any other programs that would do that, either - not to mention nothing obvious is happening when I hit it, though that's not telling in itself...

A Google search for "ctrl+shift+0" returns some entries, the first of which claims that all programs, under Vista, have trouble using that key combination.

Interestingly also, when I was playing Oblivion recently, on my Vista PC you simply can't invoke the console (ie. "cheat command line") by pressing tilde (~) under Vista, whilst the same version of Oblivion, patched to the same level, works fine under XP.

There are various mentions of the ways of getting tilde to work (none of which worked for me) including strange suggestions like disabling the device driver for the infra-red receiver.

I'm a bit gobsmacked that Vista just "swallows up" various key combinations that work under XP, without any obvious way of getting them back, or indeed any documented reason for doing so in the first place.

You could make your own accelerator key (using AcceleratorTo) that would let you assign a different key combination to opening the timer window, if that is something you do a lot.

I had him go to Input|Key Name and hit ctrl-shift-0 and nothing came up. ctrl and shift work, the rest work, but that doesn't.

And I had him try an accelerator for ctrl-shift-0 but it didn't work. That's what clued me to the above.

Tried: AcceleratorTo ("Shift+Ctrl+0", "DoCommand('ConfigureTimers')", sendto.script)

Seems it's a Vista issue.
