I have a small mud running on the CoffeeMud engine. I have a few users that use Mushclient. They said the mud was not playable because of all "the extra letters". I downloaded mushclient and logged in and I see what they mean! All of the html code is not interpreted! Is this a setting in Mush somewhere or a plugin?

TIA

HTML code? You mean MXP? I am not familiar with CoffeeMUD.

I found the MXP/Pueblo setting and turned it on and most everything is ok, it doesn't appear to support sound, or downloading images, but it looks much better.

I was about to say, this sounds like an MXP issue. You could force MXP on at the MUSHclient end, or hopefully there is a way of turning it off at the MUD end (eg. type "mxp off" or whatever the command is).

There has been a bit of discussion both here and on the zMUD forum recently about the different ways MXP is implemented in various clients.

One problem is, that the MXP spec is out-of-date, as Zugg himself freely admits.

Because of its design (which is for a text MUD) MUSHclient does not attempt to display inline images, however they are rendered as a hyperlink so you can view the picture in case it is something important, like a map, in your web browser.
