missing options

I notice a few things missing from 3.04 and 3.12 that I
thought were nice options before.

The biggest thing is the settings for game commands..in 3.04, you had the option of setting different colors for game commands, such as pages, etc. We lost that with 3.12.

Also, I noticed with 3.04, that even though 'flash on taskbar with new activity' is checked, the icon often doesn't flash at all, or doesn't flash until there's more than one activity somewhere.

I keep seeing references to version 3.13...is it available for download or still in working stages?

The colouring of pages etc. has moved from a special configuration option, to being available by a trigger. Since triggers and "line colouring" were practically identical, you now use triggers to do the same thing.

They are very easy to set up. Go to the "trigger" configuration, and click on Add. Then type in what a page looks like, substituting an asterisk for the variable parts, eg.


Trigger: * pages, *
Change colour to: Custom 7 (or whatever)


You might want to go into the Custom Colour configuration and change Custom 7 (or whatever colour you chose) to be the colour of your choice.

Then click Add again and add a couple more for other messages, eg.

GAME: *
* says, *
MAIL: *

Just make sure that you type in exactly what arrives from the world. For example if there is a comma after "says" then you must put that there.


Version 3.13 is practically ready. I add to the release notes as I make changes, and thus the release notes can be available before the release itself.

As for when the next release is available, go to the "News and updates" section of the MUSHclient part of the forum, and click on the "subscribe" link near the bottom of the page. Then you will get an email when the announcement is made for each new release.
