Hi there..
I am runing rom2.4b6(olc2.01+color1.2) on windows xp.
http://www.zone.ee/brigadir/rom2.4/Rom24b6(olc2.01+colour1.2).zip

I compile it on cygwin.

And the problem is that i cant reboot, the program just close and nothing happens.

This version lack of copyover (i think that this is some kind of reboot without disconnect) i would like to know if it is posible to included it, and where to get it.

Hope you can help...greetings.

Heh, Ok there is no way to truly Reboot, or copyover
through windows. yes you might be able to get it to work
but it is not a true copyover/reboot, the first process
will still run, and if you attempt to kill that
process the Mud will crash.

Not completely true...

I have had true copyover work, where the mud switches processes and closes the old one, with inheritance of sockets and all, the problem i ran into was that after the copyover all the connected clients had to send something to the server before they could receive new information through the sockets...

Note: I though much say that this version of the rom mud wasn't compiled through cygwin, rather it was a rewrite of the rom source so it could compile errorfree on Win2K without the need of cygwin.. Sorry forgot to say that the first time..
