I m running a smaugfuss1.9 server but i face a problem. After about 1,5 days the server closes and disconects. If someone connect durring that period it will not close.

Do you know why this happening?

I was said that it maybe crashed due code error but if that was true it shouldnt stay connected as long someone was connected.

Do you thing it may be host related problem?

I m trying to find out wahy this happening.

The server shuts down each day - why does this happen?
This is by design. I gather it is to clean up excess memory used by the server during the day. I suggest you set up a batch file (or use the Windows NT "AT" command) to periodically check if the server is running, and if not, start it up.

I have written an example batch file, and a little program that will test if the MUD is up. The batch file uses the testing program ( PortTester) to decide whether to start the MUD up again.

I though that was every day, and that you got specific warnings (if you were logged on) that it was going to happen. However it shut down anyway. The batch file mentioned was designed to make it start up again afterwards.
