My LAN is protected from the outside by a firewall. Altough that firewall prevents telnet requests, it allows http ones (web browsing).
I was wondering if there's any client or site wich allows me to create a telnet like connection using http ( Internet Explorer ) thus passing the firewall.

As far as I know, no there is not. A while back I had a router go down that prevented me from getting to the mud I play at and since I knew that there had to be some other way to get there I tried to find a site I could get to that I could use to go around the problem. In theory this should work, but all I found was a javascript telnet client and it still uses you systems telnet port to work.
In theory (mind you this is mearly theory), if you had a friend at some college campus or something, you could create a proxy that would run on their system and automatically grab http requests from you (and others) and treat them as telnet, then you could link from there to the server you want, but I very seriously doubt anyone offers such a thing as a readilly available internet service. This also has the effect of disabling http for the server in both directions as well, which is why it is extremely unlikey you will find anyone doing it.
Your admin has forbidden telnet proxy but http is active. If you can use hotmail by this proxy, you can play it still.
You can download CCProxy from www.youngzsoft.com and install it on your PC. Set cascading proxy in CCProxy and
select HTTPS protocol. Then you can use CCProxy as telnet
proxy and it will translate your telnet connection to
https. Maybe this will through your firewall.
