I am finding that in the logging options, anything I try to put into the File Postamble field is not actually being inserted into the logs. The Preamble field works just fine, but I'd like to be able to insert the time into both the beginning and end of my logs.

I can't reproduce that. Unless you are using "raw" logging, the postamble should be written when the log file is closed, and when I tested it, it was.
Okay, thanks, that's what it was. I had been trying to log in 'raw' all this time.
