I've looked around and haven't found an automated quest snippet that worked properly without a lot of headaches. I'm also stuck with nothing to do for the next 2 weeks and could use something to pass the time. So I figured, "hey, why not make a new automated quest snippet?"

I'm really just looking for ideas from anyone who uses an automated quest system of some sort. What should I include other than the standard features that comes from the moongate version and the Lost Prophecy version (the lost prophecy version was written well before I owned it).

Start posting those ideas :)

My quest system is almost complete; I'm not sure it could be released as a snippet, for several reasons, mainly due to my codebase being completely different from standard SMAUG. (The quest system also makes very heavy use of Lua.) That being said, this wiki excerpt, from BabbleMUD, might be useful or give ideas for brainstorming.
