| Hrm! I have on both of my computers, version 3.65 of MUSHclient. On computer a it operates off Perlscript. I have this option enabled, and an alias
t (\w+)
which sends
$world->SetVariable("target", "%1")
which will set the value target to whichever word I leave after t, for example "t RAT" will set target to "RAT." But on computer B, I have all the same settings set (Yes this alias does send to script), but I get this error after setting the default script of a world to Perlscript:
Error number: -2147221005
Event: finding CLSID of scripting language "PerlScript"
Description: Error -2147221005 occurred when finding CLSID of scripting language "PerlScript":
Invalid class string
Called by:
I'm not sure what it is, I've redownloaded 3.65 multiple times, I just don't understand what it is. At first I thought it might be a Perlscript something missing on my computer, but that didn't make sense as I have never downloaded a Perl anything on the other computer and MUSH (unless I can't read documentaiton) is able to 'compile' Perlscript. Merp! Help would be very appreciated.
I wasn't sure if this ought be "bubs" or "perlscript" but I know it isn't an issue with scripting as it's a copy and paste from the helpfile and this works for VB as well (tested this in another language). It just felt like a bug to me. Thanks! | Top |

| The other computer might have had perl pre-installed.
You should figure out if you do infact have perl installed, you can go to your command line and type 'perl -v', and if it says bad command (etc) then you dont have a perl interpreter (and it'll tell you what version and such).
If you do, you should try reinstalling it. If you don't, you should install it. You can get it from the page of script engines. You'll want activestate activeperl.
I know many computers do come with activeperl preinstalled, and that is why computer A has no problem with perl. |

| Re-downloading MUSHclient won't help, the error message is trying to say (in the obscure way that many Windows messages do) that it can't find Perl installed.
When you way that you didn't install Perl, as Flannel says, that doesn't rule out that someone else installed it for you. For example I recently bought a PC that seemed to come with Python pre-installed. |
