| I'm sure someone else has posted about this, but I couldn't find it. So I want to know how to add black to the background, I already added color to the words using these "[1;30m_" and such. I tried adding black color to the background but it only did it around the words, not the whole screen. So... any suggestions?
-EDIT- Its smaugFUSS. | | Top |

| The hard coded values are bad, you might want to try the defined ones in smaugfuss, I thinks its like "^x". That way it gives a few option, like if they don't have color capable client, it will default to nothing.
However, I beleive that to have the entire screen one color, and not just the background of the characters, that it is a client option, and has nothing to do with the mud. I can change the BG color on any of my 5 clients manually. I assume thats what your talking about, if not, please clarify.
Hope that helps, though. |

| | Ok... it has nothing to do with the clients, just the code and stuff. Heres an example http://gallery.cybertarp.com/albums/userpics/14216/Untitled1.jpg I remember someone saying something about nannys but I don't remember... | | Top |

| Anavel, client background is a client option. The MUD can only set the background color of the text it sends.
Sheesh, those people from the screenshot you pasted are friendly. "Do NOT come on and expect to receive an immortal, don't try to impress us, bla bla bla". Either they're still inexperienced admins or they've had some major, major problems with their playerbase. :) |

They actually say "Do NOT come on and expect to recieve an Immortal ...".
