| 1) I'd like people just starting out no matter what the race or class to start with all there stats but str at 5, I'v seen so many areas that I would think I could change to do this, but decided against changing it because of how unsure I was.
2) I noticed naked, a level 10 could last...thou not hit but last against a higher level fighter lets say 30 wayyy to long. Is it like that stock? or is it because I havent set the thac's for the classes yet? If it is like that stock anyone know how I could make level have a bit more of an impact?

| I'm not sure I completely understand 1) so I won't answer it. :P
As for 2), I've noticed similar things - in fact, level 5 players can KILL level 45 mobs if the mob has little damage rolls, attacks and whatnot.
I think it's just the way the game works. I'm looking into ways to change it as well... the best plan is probably to make the to-hit rolls depend on the level difference, i.e. if the hitter is of a higher level than the victim, there is a bonus; if the hitter is of a lower level, there is a penalty. Similar changes could be applied to damage perhaps, depending on how far you want to push this.
In some games, like Dark Age of Camelot, you simply cannot hit somebody more than about 5 levels above you, and you usually get wiped out in just 3 or 4 hits. *shrug* They really want you to stay in your level range. :) |

| Thanks for the response, what I ment for question 1 is where would I go about changing, to have a brand new players stats int, dex, lck, cha, save for str all start at a set number ie 5 and str 8?
As for 2) I'm glad I'm not the only one that found it kind of ...wel not right. I guess I will try to add some damage mod's like if one charecters level is greater then lets say 10 over anothers or mob, have it run a formula based on dex and str to mod the damage and taken given by the bigger player in a positve way and one like it to mod the smaller player in a negitive way and repeat it for higher differances unless someone can think of a better way of doing it.
Thanks again
