| Ok sorry bout the last post... I was inerupted several times. I figured the problem out now i just need an answer. everytime i compile a different file errors out. It seems to be random. I changed nothing so far besides the log on messages in comm.c - wich never errors put for som reson.
Now this is just spooky.
Once again thanks for any help and sorry about spam.

| | Saying it "errors out" doesn't tell us much. There are thousands of error messages that might appear. Please copy and paste at least some of them to give us a clue. |

| gcc-2.95.2: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 11
make[1]: *** [reset.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/-----/dist/src'
make: *** [all] Error 2
That is the only error i get. I have never before seen a problem like this - but i was hoping it was somthing simple.. but don't look like it.
I remedied the problem by compiling it repedativly compiling until EVERY .o file errored out twice (randomlly).. but now everytime i compile i need to repeat that tedious procees.
Thanks for helping thus far.

| I doubt if it is happening randomly. What might be happening is that you are getting warnings, but after a warning it still compiles, so next time it will compile something else.
Sounds a bit like a problem in the file Makefile. Hard to say other than that. SMAUG compiles fine for me.
Tell us which operating system you are using (Cygwin maybe?) and exactly which SMAUG download you are compiling. |
