I would just like to thank you (Kalahn) for making the dawn codebase available to ppl. :) I truely love this codebase. :)
Well, on to the real reason why i wrote this post, i just wanted to tell all about some of the progresses that i have made on The Realms of Darkness.
1. I have made the dragon race a pcrace, along with a remort race, this might not sounds very hard, though i have doing a complete rewrite of the remort system, to give it a different and more roleplaying approach (more on this later), but to make the dragon pcrace whole, i have reenabled the tail skill and command (it was commented out in the code) and fixed it so that it worked, plus i have made a dragontype command, so that the dragon pc can whole their type (from a defined list of types, of course), along with a "breath" command so that they can make use of their new breathweapon. :)
I have also rewritten some of the spell_*_breath's to balance them a little more for use by pc's, plus i have retricted it so that dragons can's wear armor, use weapons, or wear boots (who has even seen a dragon in full plate mail ?!?), plus they now have their own weapon skill called natural weaponry, and they use their claws as weapons. :)
2. I have written a hflag command, for use by imm's that write helpfile, basicily you use the hflag to scan all the helpfiles for helpfiles with a specially flag set.
I made it mostly so i could get a overview of all the helpfiles with the "incomplete" flag set, a nice and easy way to see what i need to write helpfiles on. :)
3. Also i have made a command lister, much like comedit, called comlist, it will (at the present time) list all the commands that are implemented (and in the commands.txt file), though i have upgrating the command so that you also can list command in a special command group. :)
I think that i all i made change so far, though the big rewrite on the remort system, is gonna take some time..
But, my my, the post is getting big, so i think i will end it now, if any of you would like to hear about the rewrite of the remort system, tell me and i will write another post. |
