So I want to include a timestamp to an arrival/tells miniwindow so I did a lot of searching and saw several ways to do it but I keep getting a weird result no matter what I try.

I've used several variations of GetInfo in and out of plugins and the time comes out as a number string.

<triggers>
  <trigger
   enabled="y"
   match="You say, "Meh.""
   send_to="12"
   sequence="100"
  >
  <send>
ColourNote ( "white" , "red" , GetInfo (304))
</send>
  </trigger>
</triggers>

'meh

You say, "Meh."

not sure what is going on, is it not picking up the time from my computer or is there something in preferences that needs to be checked. Or does this need to be converted to time and date somehow?

No clue if you have seen this or not... But just in case you haven't why reinvent the wheel.

Time stamp, scroll bar, resize tab, ton of other features...

Or if you really want to make your own perhaps you can figure out how this one does the timestamp

The Lua function os.date will give you a nice, formatted, timestamp.

Thanks, no I didn't see that. I saw another one like it that didn't have timestamps which is why I was trying to add them. I'll try that plugin.

After a few hours of searching last night I did come across references for os.date but was too tired and was planning to give that a whirl today since I wasn't expecting any immediate responses. Thanks for the fast replies!

The dates and times for posts above are shown in Universal Co-ordinated Time (UTC).

To show them in your local time you can join the forum, and then set the 'time correction' field in your profile to the number of hours difference between your location and UTC time.
