I need help. I can't connect to the Gotham Knights MUSH(gothamknights.net port 9999) even though i know that it is up. I repeat: THE MUSH IS NOT down. I cannot connect with MUSHclient or SimpleMU or even raw telnet. Pissin me off hardcore.

The MUSH may well be up, but a firewall between you and it is blocking it. Not much you can do about that, except try from somewhere else.

This is not a bug BTW - you say it happens to other clients as well, and to telnet.

Also, sometimes I find that is a router goes down someplace not all ports or traffic types work immediately. I have had the mud I play at be accessable through telnet, but not respond to tracert or ping, other times the ping will work but neither telnet nor tracert will respond. It is really strange, but it happens and can take hours sometimes to completely go back to normal. :p
