| Fellow Mudders,
I'd like to invite all of you to check out Shadowgate. It is a RP enforced MUD that has been around since the 90's. We stick very close to Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition.
We have very well developed mechanics and a very clean interface. It is personally the cleanest MUD that I have ever experienced.
We have feats, skills, spells, multiple classes, races, and a completely redesigned character creation system that lets you reset attributes (including stats) about your character all the way up until the point in which you are no longer a newbie character - level 6.
We have recently updated melee feats in order to make potentially all melee build type characters viable at higher level.
We have an amazing spell system (with nearly 300 spells overall). We have psions, psywarriors, mages, sorcerers, clerics, bards, and druids, and are in the process of implementing warlocks.
Prefer melee? and want to test out the aforementioned builds we have thieves, fighters, barbarians, paladins, and rangers. (Soon we will have monks :D)
Our biggest current issues are lack of players (which is where you come in hopefully!) and a pretty steep learning curve to get into the game. We have a few guides written up that we will gladly hand out to see if they will help with the learning curve issue. And we are in the process of updating our newbie area to be more tutorial esque.
Come check out our mud, become part of it, and help us to both advance our stories and our mechanics! We are very open to suggestions for improvement.
